SFL Summer Camp: Counsellor Application Form
April 2, 2012
SFL Summer Camp offers an opportunity to learn about labour issues, human rights, international awareness, co-operative living, and many other important social justice themes.
The 24th Annual SFL Summer Camp takes place August 5th to 11th, 2012.
The SFL is always looking for union members who would like to become Camp Counsellors. We are committed to having a diverse group of counsellors from a variety of unions and backgrounds. We invite you to fill out the attached application form if you are interested in working at Camp.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are chosen to be a Camp Counsellor, you will be required to attend the Camp from August 4th to the 11th, a commitment of seven nights and eight days. We know this is a large commitment of time and energy, and if you have any concerns about being away from home or work for that length of time, please let us know.
The SFL covers the cost of your meals and accommodation at Camp. Unfortunately, the SFL cannot pay lost wages of Counsellors while they are at Camp. It is your responsibility to arrange for your union to pay any lost wages you incur. Some Counsellors donate their time to Camp. Please ensure that your union has approved your application to Camp before submitting it.
Please fill out the form (linked below) and return by April 2nd to:
Saskatchewan Federation of Labour
Attn: Larry Hubich
#220-2445 13th Avenue
Regina SK S4P 0W1.
We will respond to you by May 1st as to whether or not your application is accepted.
