Nursing Week Contest Winners

National Nursing Week May 12th – 18th

LPNs and CCAs put the heart in healthcare, as they provide hands-on care. These providers go the extra mile all the time and yet often without recognition. The Nursing Care Committee (NCC) created a contest (link to contest) to provide an opportunity to recognize a LPN or a CCA who goes above and beyond.

Below are the names of our 10 winners of $50 gift cards and a little bit about the reason why they were chosen. Because the stories that were shared were so compelling, an anonymous donor came forward so that the remaining three nominees would also receive a prize of a $25 gift card.

Here are the names of our 10 winners of $50 gift cards and a little bit about them:

Carmen Fisher
Continuing Care Assistant
Palliser Regional Care Centre
“Carmen combined two of her passions, both of which she excels at, quilting and caregiving, and created a very special quilt for a resident.”

Debbie Cossette

“My Mom was indeed blessed to have received such good care in such a hard time, as we were, her family. I would like to see Debbie receive a thank you and a pat on the back for being such a God-sent caregiver.”

We had an anonymous donation so the NCC decided to give these nominees a $25 gift card:
